Dr. Bowers has practiced for the past two years at The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano. He has an outstanding background in using new, and cutting-edge technologies to treat patients with complex vascular disease.
His work has earned him the position of Co-Director of Vascular Clinical Research at The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano. Dr. Bowers serves as the Principal Investigator on two stroke prevention trials that use stents rather than surgery to treat carotid arterial disease. He is also Co-Investigator on two clinical trials that are investigating heart valve replacement using a catheter approach rather than open-heart surgery.
Dr. Bowers has been selected by several technology companies to train other physicians about new procedures and techniques. He has been chosen to lead one of a select few hands-on training centers in the country. He has been a speaker on cardiovascular disease at National and International meetings. Recognized as a local expert, Dr. Bowers has been interviewed several times by local Dallas-Fort Worth TV news channels to speak on groundbreaking medical technologies and advancements.
