Dr. Gopal is a noninvasive clinical cardiologist with The Dallas Heart Group at Medical City Dallas, Baylor Regional Medical Center in Plano, Texas and The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano. She is board certified in Cardiovascular Diseases, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology. Her special interests include early diagnosis of heart disease with specialized imaging techniques, the prevention of cardiovascular disease, heart disease in women, heart disease during pregnancy, and state-of-the-art cardiovascular imaging, as well as transesophageal echocardiography. In addition, she has worked on advanced echocardiographic techniques such as Myocardial Contrast Echo for assessment of Myocardial Perfusion, and utilization of Contrast Echo in alcohol septal ablation procedures. She is fellowship trained in cardiovascular CT Angiography.
Dr. Gopal is the Medical Director of the Women's Cardiovascular Health Institute and the Director of Cardiovascular CT Imaging at THE HEART HOSPITAL Baylor Plano. She is Chair of the Medical Committee for the American Heart Association as well as a speaker and also gives presentations at local universities and corporations on heart disease. In addition she speaks to fellow physicians on state-of-the-art imaging techniques. She is also the Medical Director for CSANT CT Imaging Center in Plano and a founding member of the Society for Cardiovascular Computed Tomography.
