Dr. Lam is an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of the full spectrum of vascular diseases. His practice focuses on the diagnosis and management of carotid artery disease including stroke prevention; thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA); renal, mesenteric, and peripheral arterial occlusive disease (PAD); and varicose veins. Dr. Lam specializes in state of the art minimally invasive interventions including carotid artery stenting (investigator in the Sapphire World Wide Registry), thoracic and aortic stent graft repair, angioplasty, cryotherapy, laser therapy, plaque excision atherectomy, and endovenous laser ablation therapy for varicose veins. In addition, Dr. Lam also focuses on minimally invasive surgery for peripheral artery bypasses.
Dr. Lam is a frequent speaker at local and national meetings and has written several book chapters on innovations in vascular surgery. He has published extensively in peer review journals on topics ranging from criteria and indications for carotid artery stenting, credentialing for carotid artery stenting, abdominal aortic aneurysm screening and aortic aneurysm stent graft repair, use and indications for retrievable IVC filters for DVT, and percutaneous interventions for leg claudication and limb salvage.
