Dr. Todd Dewey, a cardiothoracic and transplantation surgeon, is the Director of Circulatory Assist Device Program for Medical City Dallas Hospital. He is Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery and has completed specialty training in Cardiac Transplantation & Ventricular Assist Device at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York.
He has presented and published extensively on beating heart surgery techniques, left ventricular assist device implantation and transplantation for national surgical symposiums, as well as in medical journals, including The New England Journal of Medicine, the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Circulation, and the Annals of Thoracic Surgery.
Prior to joining CSANT in 1998, Dr. Dewey served as Clinical Instructor in Surgery for The New York Hospital and Cornell Medical Center. Earlier, he served as Clinical Instructor in Surgery and as attending staff at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York.
Dr. Dewey is a past recipient of the Young Investigator's Award from The International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery, and has been named to "One of the Best Doctors in Dallas" by D Magazine for the last two years. He is a Member of the International Society for Heart & Lung Transplantation, Parkland Surgical Society; and the Society for Thoracic Surgeons.
