SPIRIT III is a randomized* study of a new coronary stent in patients with up to 2 new native* coronary artery lesions, each in a different cardiac vessel. Patients are randomized between the new stent and one that is currently approved. Patients will be followed for up to 5 years.
You MAY be eligible for this study if:
You have evidence of myocardial ischemia* (e.g., stable or unstable chest pain, silent ischemia, positive functional study or reversible changes in the electrocardiogram (ECG) consistent with ischemia)
You MAY NOT be eligible for this study if:
You have unstable heart rhythms
You have a left ventricular ejection fraction* (LVEF) less than 30%
